During the reign of I Gusti Bagus Jelantik who began to lead the Karangasem Kingdom in 1909, this pool area was expanded and developed by several pools and Bale Gili luxury buildings with European style (modern style), then given a name called Taman Sukasada / Taman Sukasada Ujung Karangasem and is known as the Edge Water Palace, which is thought to have been built in the twentieth year

When viewed from a historical perspective, the most abundant remains of the Karangasem Kingdom for both Lombok and Bali, the area as a whole consists of a pond and Gili buildings in the middle of the pond, such as Mayura Park and Narmada Park in the western part of Lombok Island.

At the very top of the highest level of the Ujung Water Palace complex, we will find a large "warak" (rhino) statue. Under the warak statue, there is a bull statue. From this high place, we will see stunning sea views, hills with lush and green forests and the beauty of Mount Agung combined with green terraced rice fields.

The splendor of the Ujung Water Palace was destroyed by the explosion of Mount Agung in 1963 which was exacerbated by the severe shock that occurred in 1979. However, restoration efforts have been made to restore the glory of this water palace complex by conducting reconstruction and revitalization projects on it. Although not as great as it used to be, the admiration of the past can still be seen here today.
